In 1977, Michael Vivolo opened the restaurant on Boston Post Road with the late Carlo Colaianni.
The closing was announced on the restaurant's Facebook page: "We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our loyal customers who came to show their support as we say goodbye after 41 years in Larchmont."
"Our family is honored by the numerous stories that people have been sharing of their happy memories in our restaurant from rehearsal dinners, weddings, christenings, bridal and baby showers, bar mitzvah’s, retirement’s, birthday’s, family reunions to a night out with loved ones. It has been our privilege to have been here for you," the restaurant's Facebook post said.
The restaurant was renovated in 2016 and operated since then by Dean Vivolo who is proprietor of Trattoria Vivolo on Halstead Avenue in Harrison.
